On Monday, July 13, I drove to Rochester with my friend Gary Engler to pick up his uncle Gaylord to go to his farm in Mezeppa to scan in photos from his 1942-1945 tour of Europe. He will be sharing his story at a Rochester Round Table and the photos of his journey are part of what I scanned in. While in Tauberbischofsheim, after he participated as an infantryman in the 63rd Infantry in their walk through the Siegfried Line, crossing the Rhein, he got this beer stein.
